The last couple blogs have been pre-scheduled. You aren’t supposed to announce on the Internet that you are away from home, your husband off in Africa and your house standing empty waiting to be cleaned out by some unscrupulous reader. But I was in COLORADO for my nephew’s wedding. (CONGRATULATIONS STUART AND EMILY!!!) It was great to be with family and to celebrate this precious event. Stuart’s dad, my baby brother, died when Stu was fifteen. Believe me, I have argued with God on numerous occasions about that decision of his Divine Will. I constantly have to re-submit to his wisdom and love that I don’t understand. It was encouraging to see how God has provided a strong, loving father-in-law in Stu’s life as well as a beautiful, bubbly companion for life and ministry. The wedding music included Phil Wickham's beautiful "Divine Romance." The fullness of Your grace is here with me; The richness of your beauty's all I see; The brightness of Your glory has arrived. In Your presence, God, I'm completely satisfied. For You I sing, I dance, Rejoice in this divine romance... In that fabulous setting overlooking Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, it was easy to lift our hearts and hands to show our love for the Creator who stunned us over and over with fabulous scenery of his design. After the wedding, I spent a week traveling and hiking with my mother-in-law and my sister. You think I walk fast?! You’ve never tried to keep up with my sister! That bundle of energy weighs 25 pounds less than I do and, of course, she's two years younger, so of course, that explains it. When I decided I had had enough of a trail and turned back, playing with my camera along the way, she would take off AT A RUN to see how much more ground she could cover. She invariably made it back to Mom in our parking-lot base within a few minutes of me if she didn’t catch up before I got there. Here are a few of the marvelous sights we saw. I'll post more photos next week.
