“Bring him home!” Jean Valjean prays in Les Miserables of the young man his foster daughter loves. My daughter loves a young man too, and God has just brought him home from nine months in Afghanistan. We are grateful and rejoicing.
Both my daughter and my son-in-law have depended heavily on God during this deployment. Nevertheless, this on-line article from Christianity Today speaks to one of the many challenges couples like them face--reuniting spiritually when their experiences have been so drastically different. Don't stop praying for our soldiers when that plane touches American soil.
