Perhaps it is because I have been spending so much of my "spare time" on my miniature house lately (more about that in a future blog), or maybe it is my three-year-old grand daughter's fascination with fairies and princesses--she informed me that toadstools do not serve as dining tables for the creatures, as I had suggested, but there are invisible doors in their stems and the fairies live inside.
For whatever reason, I couldn't help noticing these tiny bits of color pushing up the leaf mold of our path this week
